Coöperatie DELA (DELA) and DFW Group B.V. (DFW) are pleased to announce the proposed acquisition in which DELA will acquire all shares of DFW. Jan Keeman, director and owner of DFW, is approaching retirement age and has been looking for a partner for some time who can safeguard the future of DFW and continue the company’s vision. The acquisition is expected to be completed in early 2025.
DFW is a major player in the development and production of cremation installations and is active in the Netherlands, Belgium, the United Kingdom and Germany, among other countries. For example, DFW introduced the first electric cremation oven in the Netherlands. In addition, the company designed an oven that can also be operated by non-technical people. Relatives can walk to the oven if desired, which helps with saying goodbye and in the grieving process.
Jack van der Putten, CCO DELA Group and director of DELA in the Netherlands: ‘DFW has been a reliable partner in the development, construction, management and maintenance of cremation ovens for many years. With its expertise, it makes an important contribution to making funerals more sustainable. We look forward to this new form of collaboration.’
Guaranteeing quality and continuity
Nothing will change for customers and suppliers. The acquisition of the shares by DELA guarantees the continuity of DFW and allows it to further strengthen its innovative power for the funeral industry. It will continue to provide existing and new customers, at home and abroad, with high-quality products, services and maintenance; nothing changes in this. Moreover, founder and current owner Jan Keeman will remain intensively involved with DFW for some time to come.
Further development
‘I am proud to transfer DFW to DELA. With their robustness and excellent reputation, I am convinced that this is the right step for the future. It enables DFW to further develop and expand our products and services. It is essential that both our current and future customers can continue to rely on our services. I would like to remain involved in this new phase and look forward to working together on the further growth of DFW’, says Jan Keeman, owner. Both parties are determined to continue and expand DFW’s current ambition unabated for the benefit of the Dutch and international funeral sector.
