Electric Cremation Sustainable Crematorium

Crematorium & Cemeteries Almere is going to cremate electrically and sustainably. The old human gas cremator of the crematorium at Kruidenweg 3 in Almere Stad has been replaced by a new electric cremator. As a result, the crematorium has reduced gas consumption to zero. The electric oven is less harmful to the environment and more energy-efficient than a gas-fired oven.

Manager Natasja van Kampen oversaw the renovation: ‘The start of this major renovation was on 1 May and work was completed on 15 July. In addition to the installation of the electric oven, the oven space has been given a new and contemporary appearance. The colors and furnishing will give the oven space a more friendly appearance for the next of kin who want to accompany the deceased to the oven space.’
